Schoharie County Recycling Program
The present system includes the use of a contractor to provide a roll-off truck to haul roll-off containers to move recycling containers from various locations within the County to the MOSA owned and operated Schoharie Transfer Station located in Howes Cave for further transport to a MRF in Hudson, Albany or Syracuse. Each site within the County provides at least one container for mixed paper and one container for commingled containers. The Towns in which the containers are located are responsible to monitor and assist the public during hours set by the Town. The location of the containers within the County are as follows:
